Because of Christ (BOC) The well-traveled Because of Christ singing group and band, more affectionately called BOC, is comprised of Sedrick Ballenger, Calvin Foster, and Jennifer Foster. The journey started nearly a decade ago, when Jennifer Foster had a vision to sing in various places to encourage the souls of men.
The mission of the group continues to be realized as they travel to various locations. Everywhere it travels, the goal of the group is to reach the discouraged and lost.
In 2006, BOC was blessed to release a CD titled His Promise. The group hopes its CD will bless those unable to hear it sing in person. After the CD release, it was noted that families chose to play songs like His Promise and Making It Through the Night at funeral services for loved ones. These songs inspired precious memories and motivation to the families to keep doing God’s will in trying times.
